Wow looking back at the Solid Gold dancers they might as well have been strippers. All the grinding, skimpy costumes, and butt shots.
I watched this all the time as a kid. How is it this was on TV in primetime in the 80’s. I would be shocked to see this now a days on the networks.
I have to say that I loved Solid Gold but everything looks so different as an adult. =)
Oh my goodness! This brought back some memories! I used to love Solid Gold as a kid as well, and don’t remember the dancers being so sexual either – eek! I guess it’s good that we didn’t see them that way, but yeah, what were our parents thinking? lol.
Ooh!! And remember Andy Gibb?? I totally had the hots for him. lol!!
I guess it’s not as bad as all the lusting that goes on with Big Brother on primetime (I hear, I don’t watch reality TV)…or the crap in music videos on all day…or even some commercials, for pete’s sake!
